1. About StudyMaps

StudyMaps is a Brazilian company that creates and sells digital study materials — specifically, visual study maps in PDF format — for professional certification and exam preparation. Our website is studymaps.work.

By using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Products

StudyMaps products are original, digital PDF study maps designed as supplementary visual study aids for various professional certifications and exams.

Trademark Disclaimer: All exam names, certification names, and associated trademarks mentioned on our website and in our products (including but not limited to NCLEX-RN, CCNA, Cisco, FE Civil, NCEES, Six Sigma, and ASQ) are the property of their respective owners. StudyMaps is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any exam body, certification authority, or trademark holder. Our products are independently created study aids based on publicly available exam objectives and syllabi.

3. Purchases and Payments

All purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (for non-US transactions) or Paddle.com Inc (for US transactions), acting as our Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the legal seller of our products to you.

• Paddle handles all payment processing, tax calculation, tax collection, and receipt issuance on our behalf.
• Your official purchase receipt is issued by Paddle, not by StudyMaps.
• Paddle accepts all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other payment methods depending on your location.
• Prices are displayed in your local currency where supported. Applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) are calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location.

StudyMaps never receives, processes, or stores your payment card information.

4. Delivery

All products are digital PDFs delivered electronically. After a successful purchase, you will receive an email with a download link within minutes. Download links expire after 24 hours for security purposes.

If you experience delivery issues (missing email, expired link, technical problem), contact us at support@studymaps.work and we will re-send your products promptly.

5. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Our refund policy respects the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction:

Brazilian Customers

Under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC, Lei 8.078/1990, Art. 49), you have a 7-day unconditional withdrawal right from the date of purchase for any product bought online. If you exercise this right within 7 days, you will receive a full refund with no questions asked.

EU and UK Customers

Our products are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Art. 16(m)) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, by purchasing and consenting to immediate delivery at checkout, you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day withdrawal right once the download becomes available.

If you receive a defective product (corrupt file, incorrect content, rendering issues), you are entitled to a replacement or full refund regardless of the withdrawal waiver.

All Customers

Defective products — including corrupt files, wrong content, or files that fail to open — will be replaced or refunded within 30 days of your report. Contact us at support@studymaps.work with your order number.

All refunds are processed by Paddle. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your original payment method.

6. Intellectual Property

All StudyMaps study maps are original works created by StudyMaps and protected by copyright under Brazilian law (LDA, Lei 9.610/1998), the Berne Convention (181 member countries), and the copyright laws of your jurisdiction.

Each PDF contains per-buyer identification metadata for copyright enforcement purposes.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, public display, modification, or commercial exploitation of our study maps is prohibited and may result in legal action.

7. Permitted Use

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to:

• View and read the study maps on your personal devices.
• Print copies for your own personal study use.

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the study maps.
• Share the files publicly or via file-sharing services, forums, or social media.
• Upload the files to any website, cloud storage with public access, or peer-to-peer network.
• Remove or alter any copyright notices, watermarks, or metadata.
• Use the study maps for commercial purposes (e.g., reselling, incorporating into paid courses).

8. DMCA / Copyright Complaints

If you believe that any content on our website or in our products infringes your copyright, please send a notice to legal@studymaps.work containing:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing and its location.
3. Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number).
4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

These elements are required under 17 U.S.C. Section 512(c)(3)(A) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

9. Disclaimer

StudyMaps study maps are supplementary study materials. They are designed to help you review and retain key concepts, but they are not a substitute for comprehensive study, official course materials, or professional instruction.

We do not guarantee that using our products will result in passing any exam or certification. Exam content, formats, and passing criteria are determined solely by the respective exam bodies and are subject to change without notice.

While we strive for accuracy and keep our materials up to date, exam syllabi and objectives may change. We recommend always verifying content against the latest official exam blueprint.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StudyMaps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our products or services.

Our total liability for any claim related to a product shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific product.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your statutory consumer rights under mandatory consumer protection laws, including but not limited to the Brazilian CDC (Lei 8.078/1990), the Australian Consumer Law (CCA 2010, Schedule 2), the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), or the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where these laws apply, our liability is governed by those laws.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide you with additional or different protections, those protections apply in addition to these Terms. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Brazilian consumers: CDC (Lei 8.078/1990) and the Brazilian courts of your domicile.
• EU consumers: EU Consumer Rights Directive and the courts of your EU member state of residence.
• UK consumers: UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the UK courts.
• Australian consumers: Australian Consumer Law and the Australian courts.
